Karen Briggs Hagwood

I am wife, mother and manager of the band. I handle scheduling for the band and day to day activities such as monitoring music practice and driving the boys to lessons. It’s so much fun to do things as a family and I’m thankful for the opportunities that are available to the boys through their music. We have experienced the joy of lifting the spirits of those in nursing homes and ministering to the sick. We appreciate the many nice people we have met in the bluegrass community. They are an encouragement to us as a family and as musicians. We believe that the family time we are spending together, through the band activities and homeschooling, is invaluable and the bonds we are forming now won’t be fully realized until down the road. I’m thankful that God is giving us this opportunity with our children. My prayer is that we honor Him in everything that we do. Psalm 19:14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. My favorite Bible verse: 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. My favorite instrumental bluegrass song: Old Joe Clark My favorite place the band has played: Floyd Country Store, Floyd, VA
